Who we are
Deno Cartwright is the pastor of Bethel Church, located in Wong's Plaza on Madeira Street. Known for his dynamic and relatable teaching style, Pastor Cartwright leads with a mission to impact both churchgoers and the broader community, emphasizing “ministry in the marketplace” and guiding his congregation to integrate faith with their everyday lives and work.
In addition to his pastoral role, Deno serves as the President of The Bahamas Institute of Financial Services, where he also contributes as an adjunct lecturer and is a Fellow of the Institute. His expertise extends to his position as a Director of The Bahamas Financial Services Board, where he plays a vital role in the development and regulation of the financial services sector. He is also the Director of Finance for Clinton Minnis Global, a global missions project initiative, and for Berea Theological Seminary, supporting educational efforts in ministry.
His commitment to responsible governance is reflected in his partnership with the Organization for Responsible Governance, where he advocates for transparency and accountability in public service. Since the founding of Bethel Church in May 2020, Deno has extended outreach to neighboring communities such as Okra Hill and Masons Addition, fostering partnerships with local organizations like Palmdale Primary, The Financial Academy, Faith Driven Entrepreneurs, and SAFE Bahamas, as well as a local children's home, reinforcing his dedication to community impact and spiritual growth.
